An interesting email...

I just finished summing up what you can do with the Worship Him Power Edition for a customer that was quoted a very high price (tens of thousands of dollars) for a system to control 3 projectors. It sounds like he can do everything he needs to with a computer that has 4 monitor outputs and the Worship Him Power Edition software, at a combined cost of around one thousand dollars. Here is the summary that I gave him:
With the Worship Him Power Edition and a computer with 6 video outputs you can control up to five projectors simultaneously. For your three projectors you'll need a computer with 4 video outputs. You will be able to:

Display song lyrics, Bible passages, Announcements, video clips, pictures, nursery messages, and PowerPoint slideshows in all or any combination of projectors simultaneously.

Display any of the above items in some feeds while displaying different content in other projector(s).

Loop announcements in any one or combination of projectors while doing other things, (including projecting lyrics, Bible passages, Announcements, video clips, etc.) on other projectors.

Limitations:

There is only one video clip player/control. This means video clips can be played in all or any combination of projectors simultaneously (and they are perfectly synced) but only one video clip at a time. IE: you can't play a video clip in projector 1 while playing a different video clip in projector 2. You CAN however play a video clip in any combination of projectors while using video backgrounds (song lyrics, Bible passages, announcements, and logos can use video backgrounds) in other projectors at the same time.

DVDs can be played on any projector, but only one projector at a time (a Windows limitation).

Live video in multiple projectors simultaneously requires a camera + capture device per projector (a Windows limitation).

In order to show PowerPoint presentations in multiple projectors simultaneously you must use Worship Him's 'Import as slideshow' feature. This is easy and convenient but it has the limitation of not supporting animations within slides, IE: multiple bullet points flying in on one slide. If you need the slide animations you have to use PowerPoint, and current versions of PowerPoint can display in only one projector at a time (a PowerPoinjt limitation).

In the works

I'm excited about a new feature for the Power Edition  that I've been working on called 'Launch other'. That might sound familiar to Classic Edition users because it's an improved version of a rarely used Classic Edition feature of the same name.
In The Power Edition, the 'Launch other' feature will occupy another tab in the upper-left corner multi-function area. It will allow you to launch other programs or documents in any of your available projector feeds. You'll be able to setup everything then optionally save the'launch setup' or just launch the selected program or document.

The launch options include:
>Select the program executable or document.
>Select the feed it will launch in.
>Select whether the window it runs in is maximized, windowed with border, or windowed with no border.
>If you'll be saving the launch configuration for future use, you will be able to give it a title.

Your saved launch configurations will be in a list from which you can select one and click 'Launch' to launch it, and there will be a list of currently running apps and documents so you can select one and click 'Close' to close/end it.

A really cool thing about this is you will be able to use these launched programs as backgrounds to songs and Bible verses! I've been playing with a dynamic animation program called G-Force that displays amazing animation visuals that change with sound, and using the new Launch other' feature I've been able to use it as a background for songs and Bible verses. It looks amazing! G-Force is available at www.soundspectrum.com . I should note that I've checked out several of their visual programs and one of them ('Aeon') had an image that disqualified it for me (a yin/yang symbol). G-Force and SoftSkies had no such problems though.

It should be ready for release before the end of the month, possibly in as little as a week.

More new Power Edition releases!

We've been hard at work fine tuning the Power Edition. Now up to version 1.0.2.8 with recent additions including the ability to import songs directly from cue lists created elsewhere, create song usage reports for a single day (IE: "What songs did we use last Sunday?"), option to reopen previously opened cue lists at startup, and PowerPoint import now includes the PowerPoint slide notes. More bug fixes as well. As before, to upgrade just download and install the demo right over your existing installation.

More power to the Power Edition!

We've just released the Power Edition version 1.0.2.1 adding an on-projector clock display and fixing a PowerPoint import slide-order bug. The clock display can be in any corner, small medium or large, and customized separately for each projector feed.

Version 1.0.1.8 added alarm and timer triggered events. The selected event get's automatically performed when the alarm or timer time is reached. The available events are: Show message, play a video file, play an audio file, play a CD track, show picture, show logo, and clear to black. You can also select to have cue-list autorun or macro-playback (IE: announcement looping) automatically stopped when the timer/alarm time is reached.

These are all free upgrades. Just download the new Power Edition demo from the website and install it right over your existing installation to upgrade.
